There is a segment of BBC radio, "Culture Shock," anyone with a high speed Internet connection might want to hear. A link for listening is on the page given below:

"Mobiles for an Easier Life
The importance of mobile phones for life in Africa is increasing all the time but the networks can be unreliable and cross-network charges high. So people normally carry more than one handset but users in Ghana have been getting round this by creating special dual-SIM card phones and other ingenious modifications."

It is the last story in the program, right after one on trends in Mumbai, India, and will be available for one week (from yesterday, the 31st). I listened to it using Media Player. It started at the, "o," in 'standalone'("Launch this in standalone player").
