It certainly has been a long time. Ten months to be exact. He has not mentioned secular trends in Marketimer since June, 2007. And he has never told Moneytalk listeners that he no longer believes we are waiting for the return of a "secular bear megatrend."

So one has to conclude that Brinker believes we are in a cyclical bull market within a secular bull market.

Of course, he was looking rather silly as the cyclical bull market, which was supposed to last 1-2 years, then 1-3 years, then became "long-in-the-tooth," then became an "outlier," proved that we were never in a secular bear market. It was simply a two-year bear market between 2000-2002.

Wonder why no one ever asks about MOABO anymore?
