you: Does it make any sense to anyone? me: Did a little googling and came up with this: franciscopartners.com "With approximately $5 billion in capital and a team of 30 investment professionals worldwide, we have the wherewithal and flexibility to pursue investments ranging in enterprise value from $25 million to $2 billion." So these guys aren't small potatoes and they have experience doing these sorts of deals. Still, even the big boys make mistakes. Perhaps they committed to this venture before the market crashed and memory, as a business, went completely to hell? This wouldn't be the first time INTC has sold a partner down the river.
