Not like, say, China is not the same as I was rather surprised to hear that China is now considered the #3 enemy by Americans but fair is fair.. I just thought it amusing since I noted recently to TJ that he liked to needle you...

You two have quite disparate views on many things but what we evidently do not have here is a Failure to communicate :O)

The crocuses have come and gone, the daffodils are brilliant and the early tulips radiant. Well now I'm just happy for you but reminded of the bleakness here... temporary as it is .. The Robins are out now ... the males running around staking their turf on whatever green patches they find... Main part of my front yard is still under more than a foot of packed snow... I have a smaller side yard which is now almost snow free.. and there I see the shoots.. The backyard has more melt but is a minefield of doggie do.. not much gardening there anyway... mostly for playing.. yecch.. eagerly anticipating the treks to the nursery which are as yet weeks away...

The Black Swan

Edit it is strange to still see so much snow April 1 here in my end of Toronto..
