On a side note...what do you think of OIL and how it relates to the America's our situation ? IMHO the ME has us Ass high and bent over the "Barrel" with a half-nelson arm bar just for good measure. One ME oil guy said it best a few weeks ago on CNBS and it went something like this:
"The USA only asks "when and where the price will be?"....while China and others only ask "how much can you get us?"

I know you didn't ask me, but.....

I disagree. One of the best things that can be happening right now, IMO, is the current high price of oil. It will force us to come up with solutions that limit our reliance on mideast oil.

Electric cars are a step in the right direction as the US Coal reserves are some of the largest in the world. Of course, then you get some bitching and moaning about greenhouse gases, which then suggests alternate power generation methods. The only truly good answer is more nuclear power plants. Then we get cleaner air and less reliance on mideast oil (assuming we embrace electric/hybrid cars).

I do love seeing the greenies driving electric/hybrids who think they are doing the world a favor by not driving gasoline powered vehicles. This in a country that gets 65-70% of their energy from burning coal.
