Yes and their attendance is greatly appreciated by the families. But, for Joe Average to stop for a couple of hours out of his day and pay his respects means a lot to these family members as well.

I have been told by a woman who recently attended one that only family and a few friends were in attendance. A family member approached and ask how did you know my son. The woman said I didn't, I and my family have come out of respect, we wanted to thank him and you. The families are grateful for the Patriot Guard Riders, they are also grateful that someone else, someone other than family or friends cares enough to say thank you.
