As to diagnosing problems, I don't know - the doctor who did the ERCP said that if it came to placing a stent in (which it did) it shouldn't help with the burning and headaches; that it would just help with the stomach. Science isn't really a science is it... rather an educated, statistical guessing game... but I'm grateful for it!
