Good point. Look at Bush. His only accomplishments of note before being president was flying companies into the ground. I'm not sure his partners in the Texas Rangers would agree with you on that. Bush was the popular governor of one of biggest states, was heralded for his success with bringing together bitter republicans and democrats in the legislature. Accomplishments as governor that are attributable to him include tort reform, increasing education funding, improving school standards, and criminal justice system reform. He also brought Texas residents two billion in tax relief -- the largest tax cut in Texas history. Obama cannot lay claim to anything of substance. To compare him with Bush in terms of accomplishments is ridiculous.
