What politician's oratory actually SAYS anything substantive (when they are running for an office)? Did candidate Bush's 'oratory', when he was railing against public deficits, and federal over-spending, and railing against the very concept of 'nation-building'... and promising to be a 'compassionate conservative' (whatever the heck that bit of pleasing fluff was supposed to mean...), did HIS campaign oratory actually 'say anything' that allowed to to know which way he would jump when elected? <GGG>
