Traded volumes are low - all PC mfg'ers are losing $
Fundamentals from other key players (intel) aren't too sound - negative impression for tech stocks in general
TI case is also a point worth taking note of - profit-taking mentality

In a market situation like this it pretty much seems to be irrelevant what the CFO/CEO say, before and after earnings. Just ride it out and be rewarded if you have enough faith that there is still an upward trend...

I don't think that CPQ/DELL have much influence upon market psychology at the moment... Maybe when their earnings releases come out it will again matter what is said, but at present it seems like their is a fear of eroding margins, etc. It's all been there before and it has all been wiped out, eventually. In general the high tech/IT companies' fundamentals seem sound, especially after what both CPQ & DELL had communicated in the last couple of weeks, yet still we do not see any dramatic impact upon the stock price. And that despite a DJI upswing in the past few days...

Also hope my thought process is clear.
