It's my understanding that the earnings are due out after the close as well. To protect my investment in Apple I bought the Oct 20 put options just in case there is a sell off on a bad report. It was 1/8 by 1/4 at the close so the insurance is really cheap and would be well worth it if you are holding a fair amount and want the protection. I hope that I dont need it but it's nice to know it's there. If you need more coverage go for the 22 1/2's that should cover most folks just fine. Good luck to all. JC
