And even though many may disagree with McCain on any number of issues, there were no outrageously insidious attacks on him by any well known conservatives. The same can be said by folks in the internet - there were some harsh commenters, but nothing remotely close to the vitriol & calumny between leftists in the Obama/Clinton camps.
