NSC is attempting to creat a computer on a chip. At this point they are missing only graphix component. IMO if they can push the grafix functions to CPU and software, without scrificing much of performance, that would give them advantage on price.
The goal is to produce first computer on two chips and then migraty it to one. The first generation is to be priced under $1000 and then move to less then $500 for a system.
I don't think even Chanise slave labor will be abel to produce mother board using components for less.

The unknown is what will be the cost of producing a PC chip. It should be much lower than producing several pieces and then integrating them.

S3 has to move to high end market or they will be priced out by systems on a chip.<JMO>
