Bernanke's a master of the Great Depression - he's really THE leading economist-expert on it. I'm sure all the IB bigwigs know it, and use it to get him to pee his pants. Probably doesn't take much fear mongering to do it. He's NOT going to let another one happen. But the NEXT Depression - can he see THAT? Things are WAY more complicated and globally intertwined now than they were then. I'm not sure ANYBODY has a handle on it.
