Any thoughts about reinstating the draft?

If I may, here is my thinking on the subject of a draft.

Neither Clinton or Obama would initiate a draft.

McCain would initiate, if a catastrophic event occurred in the country, i.e. ten times worse than the WTC killings.

If Obama were elected, the AQ element might well wait to see what he could be persuaded to do relative to worldwide politics such as Israel.

If Clinton were elected, they pretty know what she will do.

If the the Iraq and Afghan situations indicate more local control and some withdrawal by the US and other countries, I think a draft could be initiated and maybe, even bought into by the general public.

However, there are many moms and dads out there who do not want their kids in the military under any circumstances, so it is really anyone's guess.
