"They spent 8 years trying to f__k up Clinton's tenure without success and now they took what he left for them and turned it to manure..."

Pretty much. And now you have those like i-node who will be claiming that it is all damage left over from the Clinton years. Then they go all speculative and wonder how much worse things would have been if it hadn't of been for Bush. Completely ignoring the reality that pretty much nobody would have been so uniformly incompetent at being president. In the past, every president, no matter how bad, had as a bottom line what was best for the country. Now their perception of what was best might have been a little whacked and/or their idea of how to get from point A to point B might not have been the best. But that was their main motivation. Bush's main motivation seems to be what is best for his buds. Whether or not that is what is best for the country doesn't even arise.

This is what I think is the fundamental difference of this administration. Most presidents try to grow into the position, to meet the challenges of being the leader of our country. Bush doesn't give a fig about that. To him, being a leader is being able to tell people what to do and to get what he wants.
