True, jobs are being lost. And I've also been following the market just outside SV. It seems that the rot is slowly seeping in from the edges, although not in a disastrous fashion.

However I know people who recently landed jobs in the valley. It appears that hiring is still ok, google notwithstanding.

Net, I still think it would take a bona-fide depression to really bring the valley down in a major way.
