A wetter Sahara is indeed one possible outcome of AGW. Bigger than the USA, it could feed a lot of people. Of course, if the USA became mostly desert that would be a bit of a problem as well. All those wicked scientists trying to model things are just trying to understand these issues.

BTW, did you know that unlike the Pacific Ocean, which has cycles linked to the solar cycle (11-13 years) much of Africa has a weather cycle which is 7 years long. Weather, not climate in both cases.
