I am not sure this is the right place to post this question, please let me know if this is not.

The question is:

How safe are the securities purchased and parked in a brokerage account at a brokerage company that are protected through Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), and additional protection ("Excess SIPC") through Customer Asset Protection Company (CAPCO)? Will I lose any money if the brokerage company went bankrupt?

Please kindly reply if you know the answer. Thanks!
