Maverick -

From the very link which you provided, I draw your attention to the following:

"The Fujifilm ATOMM Zip Disk 100 features 100MB storage capacity in a 97mm (3.7-inch) disk format with a data transfer rate of 1.4MB/sec., tough durability and long-term storage capacity, and new cartridge construction that is highly durable and resistant to dust."

Emphasis mine. The cartridge is designed by Iomega, and covered by several of the patents referred to in the last couple of posts.

More from the Fuji site:

"Fujifilm's ATOMM-DISK technology features a remarkably thin 0.1 to 0.5 micron upper layer of metal particles simultaneously coated over a non-magnetic layer of titanium compound called "Titan Fine." The high density ultra-thin upper layer of magnetic material attains a highly smooth, glossy finish which provides superior performance for durability, dropouts and output. This is made possible by the extremely hard, smooth surface created during simultaneous coating of the minute spherical particles in the "Titan-fine" lower layer; these particles are roughly one-sixth the size of metal magnetic particles.

The Zip products were developed by Iomega Corp. Since its market introduction last March, the product has generated wide consumer support. Fujifilm supplies the magnetic media used in Zip disks."

Emphasis mine again. This is really quite clear, is it not?
