Are you still pining for the Panama Canal? We have enough trouble in Central America. I'm sure glad Carter didn't listen to advisors like you who wanted to just take the canal after the lease had run out. The Neocons got their start with the October Suprise. The plan to make sure the hostages in Iran would not be released until after the election. This is how the Neocons figured they could do any illegal act they wanted if they had a President who was stupid or senile. Then with Bush Jr. they got the trifecta - he was also completely out of touch. TP
