Most of Carter's apologists are trying to justify his failed presidency by pointing out his good intentions.

I don't know about his apologists, but I cannot imagine how the man can show his face and make some of the remarks he's made about the current administration.

I mean, Bush isn't perfect, but Carter was absolutely the worst in my lifetime (well, it may be a tie between Carter and LBJ). He really just needs to shut up and stay down on the old peanut farm.
