Yeah, one box, the huge credit bubble, appears to have burst,
and there is no way to get it back running. 90% of all
mortgages are now made by Fannie and Freddie. A stunning
burst. The government obviously is trying hard to backstop it.

I think if US mismanages the dollar, the whole concept of
reserve currency will be at risk. I guess, maybe never
underestimate the stupidity of the masses - they will run
for the Euro. So far they kept running in that direction, or
the basket of currencies, whatever. Gold never occurred to them
as a viable alternative - nobody prints gold. -ggg-
Except the US of A - holds almost nothing but gold...
