It has to be a correction in a bull market -- down is always a correction in a bull market. The question is the degree -- what are we correcting against? As an example, take $HUI... If one believes that we are correcting against the entire gold run out of the 2000 low, then the correction will be deeper and longer than nearly everyone believes -- it'll take a couple of years and likely a 50% haircut off the top, which would be the area of the low of the 4th wave of previous degree (the Aug/07 low).
