Okay Joe, my apologies.

But from the 2 articles you posted, I seriously think
they are nothing more than rumors, weak ones at best.

Firstly, in reference to the first article, let me
re-state my point that no one else would want to buy
Apple. Not Motorola. Not tiny UMAX. The simple reason
being - who's capable of running Apple if they buy it?
Don't think tiny UMAX expects Steve Jobs to work for them
to help run Apple. Nah.

Now, in reference to your second article,
with Steve Jobs at the helm and Larry as a director,
I'd say they pretty much have Apple under their control.
They can start a division at Apple to manufacture NC,
which they had already announced. They can bundle Oracle
and Rapsody to make it a high-performance total solution.
And Steve, as CEO, can re-structure Apple to however he wants.
This is already the best scenario for Oracle.

What does Oracle stand to gain with the merger?
There might be other reasons that other folks
have brought out, but the point is, the source of the rumor,
ie. the 2 articles, seemed weak and they do not
substantiate themselves well at all.

Nah.. I don't think so.

Regards,
Kev
