Of course there is. McCain will be beholden to the right-wing if he wins and his choices to the Supreme Court will reflect that. With another partisan conservative on the court, women will lose the right to chose, a simplistic and politicized version of Christianity will be mandated in our public schools, an ignorant immigration policy will become law, the oil companies will continue to run amok and control our foreign as well as economic policies and etc and etc and etc.

In 2000, George Bush ran as a moderate who really wasn't that different from Al Gore, but someone who had better family values and would be more fun to drink some O'Douls with, and look what we got . . . . Lil Mussolini. This is an extremely important election, not because Clinton or Obama are all that great, but because a McCain administration would mean a continuation of the policies that are crippling America and its place in the world.
