Ah, yes, "wealth" confidently measured as such is rather ephemeral, as the RE market is now teaching a few people. Many of those people who ran around for the last few years thinking they were creating "wealth" by driving a RE bubble (all happily paying voluntarily mind you, we would not want to forget that!), might well have done better working at rather more boring and less lucrative jobs that actually did provide "wealth" such as all those jobs in manufacturing which America has exported. Just my WAG.
