NetRadio Network Passes Century Mark in Music Channels

Now Web Surfers Can Listen To More Than 100 Originally Programmed Music Channels Any Time They Want

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- NetRadio Network (http://www.netradio.net), the world's largest audio on-demand network designed specifically for the Internet, has announced the passing of the 100 music channel ''milestone.'' At the NetRadio Web site, Internet listeners can now choose from a vast smorgasbord of music genres, available at any hour of the day, 365 days a year.

''In order to furnish our listeners with the broadest array of on-demand, original music content available anywhere on the Net, we have taken a somewhat non-traditional approach,'' said David Witzig, NetRadio's Vice President of Content Acquisition and Development. ''Rather than trying to limit the number of formats into a few one-size-fits-all channels, we have attempted to develop the maximum number of narrowcast channels and group them into easily recognized categories, like Jazz, Modern Rock, and Country. And it looks like our job's not done by any means, since the emails we receive indicate that our listeners want even more than they are getting now.''

''While this breadth of content provides great choice to our thousands of daily listeners, it also furnishes numerous unique opportunities to our advertisers and sponsors to target their messages to highly differentiated segments of Netizens,'' said Jan Andersen, NetRadio Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. ''Not only can our clients reach an upscale Internet-active market through placement of ad banners on particular pages; they are also able to seamlessly integrate their message into the unique audio character of each music genre which carries it.''
