So, what does this chart tell us? I ask sincerely, not to provoke. Does it tell me what is in play here? Can it help me trade in/out of gold? Is there some important resistance/support I should be looking at? Out of the gold low that is overlayed by your lower dark blue line, would the line have helped me get in, get out, stay in -- a gold trade? Imho, and it is only mine, forks and MAs are fine when the trend is strong. By the time that the trend is so broken the the fork/MA no longer works, it's awfully late. For trading, and this is mostly what matters, we need tools to answer the questions: 1) Get in? 2) Stay in? 3) Get out?
