79% of Mexico's exports go to the USA, and remittances from Mexican nationals working in the US have declined dramatically.

As a result the Mexican economy will fall back to the sleepy internal subsistence economic activity which has been traditionally Mexico.

Times will be very tough in Mexico for those not in a position to raise their own food.

This lack of a vital domestic economy has resulted from the "thousand families" who control Mexico fearing competition and squelching new businesses.
