When Chuck Robb was advocating National Service in his run for the U. S. Senator or perhaps it was Governor --------------Virginians said NO to this idea. Virginia has always been a 'volunteer' state, people giving freely of their time to others------whether in a non-organized fashion or by forming volunteer groups not under the auspices of the government but out of the goodness of their hearts. The socialist bent is is to take the programs we develope and turn them into government programs--------this has been done numerous times throughout history. This "national service" is just another governement program designed to appease the anti-war hell no we won't go people. mj
