Harris Stratex Networks, the wireless devices provider, has named a former top executive at Nokia Siemens Networks as its new CEO.
Harald J. Braun, the new chief executive, is a former CEO of Siemens AG's telecom subsidiary Siemens Networks. He later became a senior executive at Nokia Siemens Networks, the company formed when Nokia and Siemens merged their telecom equipment businesses.
Braun replaces Guy Campbell, who will retire June 27.
Harris Stratex (Nasdaq: HSTX), based in Morrisville, was formed in 2007 as a result of the merger of Harris Corp.'s microwave division and California's Stratex Networks. The combined company has about $500 million in annual revenue, though it still struggles with profitability.
"Harald Braun has both the industry and international experience to effectively lead Harris Stratex Networks," Howard L. Lance, Harris Corp. CEO and a Harris Stratex board member, said in a statement. "He has a proven track record of creating value for shareholders, customers and employees through technology innovation and disciplined execution of strategic plans." |
