That's a long way from when they used to pay a $50 bounty on cougars.

I've seen but three cougars in the wild in all my life and never trapped or shot one.

A colleague and friend had quite an encounter last year when a cougar stalked him as he was hunting. He killed it, and the Fish and Game officers cleared him when they saw the scene.

I don't understand these Saskatchewan officers. It seems like they just make it so nobody will report such an incident if they're going to get their firearms confiscated.
