Sixteen years ago, 1992, the Dollar Index was in the same part of its cycle as it is today. A recession was ending, as was a Bush presidency. The next eight years saw the US Dollar soar and the stock market rise 260%. Whether another Clinton will be president in 2009 is harder to say. With a Fed bent on reflation, the next asset bubble is likely to be in the stock market.

PS It's only a matter of time before the ECB lowers rates.
