So...

Speaking at a press conference held Monday (April 7) in Tel Aviv, Israel, Harrison promised that his company will pursue cost reductions, responsible growth and consolidation, in order to compete in the tough flash memory market. Numonyx is owned by STMicroelectronics NV, which holds about 49 percent; Intel Corp. with 45 percent; and Francisco Partners with 6 percent. The company's launch was announced on March 31. "Our strategy is not to go out and be the biggest guy on the block, to crash prices and go after a huge amount of market share," Harrison said. "our agenda is to achieve profitability and grow responsibly. Our primary strategy is to realize synergies and cost reductions from the combination of our parent companies, to achieve profitability and then to grow properly."

Asked about a future IPO, Harrison admitted that at the proper time, "this will be on everybody's mind," but he said Numonyx has to establish a significant track record before going public.

Everybody and their dog is now expecting Numonyx to be sold off to Mom & Pop. And when will the "blessed" event take place?
Well the internal "plans" of this high cost castaway strongly suggest no later than 2010:

All their incredibly expensive things considered...

It looks as though their hoped for "track record" is going to have to be miraculous as well as "significant." <Hoo><Hoo><Haa>
