Mexico's seemed not as good as ours, but Canada's certainly seemed completely equal.

This is a subject you know absolutely nothing about.

Canada has 2.2 physicians per capita versus US's 2.4 -- many Canadian physicians leave Canada for higher paying work in the US. The United States majorly subsidizes the sale of expensive drugs to Canadians -- the same drugs are available but the per capita drug cost in Canada is $500/y versus about $750/y in the US.

Canada has 4.6 MRI machines per million residents, while the US has 19.5. Canada has 10.3 CT scanners per million versus the US's 29.5 milion Obviously, the lack of imaging systems is a huge problem for Canadians, since the wait times for imaging can be extended -- six months or more, where in the US, imaging on a near-real time basis is available in any Level 1 Trauma facility.

Now, you cited the WHO's numbers, and I'm sure you believe that, just as you believe Moore's claims -- however, WHO's methods have been widely criticized as nonrepresentative. One study claims that WHO rankings are "not particularly helpful guides to measuring performance of health systems" -- a pretty serious criticism of the rankings that are supposed to do just that. From that study, "The regression equations used to predict minimum value for health achievement were based on 1908 data for education and life expectancy for a set of 25 countries, on the contentious theory that 1908 predated the development of a modern healthcare system.".

1908. They didn't even know to wash their hands between patients then.
