Karen -

No, I wouldn't agree with the idea the energy policies are the sole reason behind our loss of blue collar manufacturing jobs.

I do think, though, that making a massive effort to get ahead of the curve on green technologies would allow the US to expand its employment base, as we first rebuild our own energy infrastructure, and then export technology to other countries.
