I pretty much share your strategy. I like the buy and hold method of
investing. Whether you choose the "buy and hold" or the "tick by tick"
method depends to some extent on your own personality. I know that
if I sell at a point and the stock starts moving either way, more
than likely I'll end up just buying it back! So far I've done better
with the strategy than my tick-by-tick trading buddy. He purchased
shares of TLTK at about the same time, got out at about 3 7/8 missed
the ride to 4 1/2 and then argued with me over not selling at 4 1/2
and refuses to come in now insisting that the stock may come down to
3. That's the confusing aspect of taking smaller profits, its hard
to decide when to come back in.

But I don't care! I never pretend to have a crystal ball, and if I
like the fundamentals of a company, I stick to it like glue. He's a
technical analyst who admits that he is completely bewildered by TLTK's
movements -- never seen anything like it before.

But I think you're right that it would be unusual for this stock to
go to a low like $3. I was just trying to look at the volume and
get some feel for what the base price of the stock would be.
