Just a brief point in this conversation about Ford and Toyota. I've read that one of the large reasons for the difference is that health care insurance is financed through general tax funds in Japan and through company policies in the US. So the expenses of health care insurance is a very large difference. Not better health care; just differently financed.

And one reason why US corporations should support health care insurance financed through general tax revenues.
