Material Testing is the Next Step towards Completion of Commercial Prototype

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lightwave Logic, Inc., (OTCBB:LWLG, lightwavelogic.com), a technology company focused on the development of electro-optic polymer materials for applications in high-speed fiber-optic telecommunications and optical computing, announced today that it has delivered its breakthrough electro-optic material to the University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences for independent tests that will determine the parameters necessary for the fabrication of the company’s initial prototype fiber optic modulators.

The College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona, which has performed testing on Lightwave Logic’s electro-optic polymer materials in the past, is internationally recognized for its preeminent research activities in all areas of optics and photonics.

“The independent tests being performed at the University of Arizona will support the efforts of our partner, Photon-X, in its process of fabricating our initial prototype fiber optic modulator. I am excited that our testing is being performed at one of the best research facilities in the world,” commented Hal Bennett, CEO of Lightwave Logic, Inc.
