I'd wager you don't drive the way one needs to for full appreciation of how the smaller Lexus models handle and accelerate.

I do, or at least I have. I test drove the RL around and around cloverleafs like I was on a thrill ride before I finally settled on the Accord. It was a hard call but I couldn't persuade myself to shell out the extra 20K for the occasional cloverleaf thrill. I recognize that that decision has left a little hole in my soul. It's a question of putting a dollar value on the hole. I understand your point. I can, indeed, tell the difference. The Accord is a very nice car, but it's not special in any way.

Right now I'm considering the purchase of a five figure painting. I've never spent that much on art. It's just something pretty to hang on a wall, after all. Maybe if I buy the painting, I'll kick over the traces and buy a new car, too. If I do, I'll give the Lexus a try as I always do. I've just never found one that spoke to me.

Would you pay $11K for this: settlerswest.com
It's 36 x 48.
