Val,

The issue here is two fold:

1) lower margin due to Flash memory business (detailed in INTC's press release).

2) too big of a discount was given to big system vendors such as CPQ and DELL. As you know, in recent quarters, the top tier box makers have increasingly taken market shares from the lesser guys such as Packard Bell etc, and the big vendors usually receive a much bigger discount.
