Your prints and my Accord are compromises. Probably smart ones.

When we discovered the need for a second car here, I could have bought another Lexus but just lacked the motivation when the Impreza would suit my purposes just fine at half the cost (and offer 4WD in the snow and ice when needed). I generally don't regret not spending a ton on something. It's fun to do now and then for special occasions but doing it all the time puts you in a spending groove that can decimate future savings and wealth accumulation, which interest me much more than my current toys.

We did reach higher than expected for our current residence but six months after closing, we have zero regrets there too, because we derive a special level of daily enjoyment from the decision.
