Lane3; which could be of any nation. Owning the technology might make a difference in a pinch, I suppose. The probability of potential pinches is unknown. I am not in disagreement of anything you say here. My take on this is the big picture that ties many of the daily discussions here together. John touched on that with his comments on our trade deficit. We are selling off America to live beyond our means while other countries such as Japan and especially China are going around the world buying up resources. Our resources - our economy - are being sucked into the toilet in the mindless war in Iraq while the smart countries buy us chunk by chunk. steve
