Steve, I will not argue that the US automakers are doing well. Of course they are not. So - what do we do with them? If we allow the market to work they will go bankrupt and restructure much like the steel industry did. Big labor has won big and is now paying the price of their victory. I do not know what the answer is. I keep buying GM cars. Remember - big labor is one of the big support groups for the Dems. They will be looking for some rewards next year. Bob PS: Last night I met a friend of mine at our Civil War Round Table whose family owns a steel fabrication company. He has had to lay off his entire third shift and 1/2 of the second. This guy is a very liberal democrat and I am sure it hurts him deeply.
