It should not exactly be a surprise to find that what one perceives as balanced and fair, or slanted and biased, whether it be from PBS, Fox, Rush, Moyers, or anywhere else, depends heavily on where one's beliefs lie on the political spectrum.

I judge it first on tone. Anything excited is bound to be biased. There are too few sources remaining after that disqualifier.

I find the notion of "balanced" fascinating. Bias is inherent to that. If what is presented is objective, there's nothing to balance. So presenting a balanced report means presenting opposing biases. This is something to strive for? To brag about? Get it right and you don't have to "balance" it.
