OK, I think we can both agree that this isn't a "happy ending". Being returned to their moms and going on welfare is probably the best result. But kids are resilient.

At least they are out of their matrixlike pod and hopefully will be able to make choices for themselves, although you gotta wonder about the kind of women their mothers are and how they will raise the children. But then, we all think that all the time about people different from ourselves.
But if you are saying-- no happy endings- I agree. :)
