(i) had i simply bought 100% gold at 250, i would have been shaken out so many times as events elsewhere and unrelated to gold made me nervous about either going to cash or property or anything else
(ii) had i done 100% when it is clearly not time, i would not have done petrobank that went 4-5x, zimbabwe plat that doubled in so few months, modern beauty that doubled in so many weeks, all of the junior oil sands that was taken over at healthy gains, the sea food building (participated by one individual of this thread) on nathan road in hk during sars that went 7x in 18 months, the g/f shops around mongkok mega project langham place before sars that eventually were exited from at 2-3x, the japan property club yielding yen at 13% year in after year out soon after sars (again participated in by one individual of this thread)
(iii) how would i be able to start own property club that acquired so many goodies since april of 2007?

besides, all gold has now done is to recover nominal ground in relation to where it was at in 1981, it is one of the very few asset classes still exchangeable at 1981 price range, and there is much time
an important part of the script is that the officialdoms absolutely must and will attack gold pricing viciously in their efforts to maintain the paper standard - you do understand why, do you not?
however, and this is important, the off-balance sheet a/c that is meant for my daughter's education etc is in fact 100% in gold, as the a/c is meant to be fuss-free, attention-free, keep track of monetary inflation at the very least, and safe from fires and such, regardless of what may happen in most cases
