I doubt your family's the only conservatives there.

I'm sure we're not, but the pro-Democrat groupthink is pretty pervasive. We joined because all the other active members of my husband's family were at that temple (we only moved here 2 years ago). My son will be bar mitzvah in 1 1/2 years but I am coming to the conclusion that organized religion is really not for me at all.
