You know, John, while all that is very sad, there are other questions to ask. The first one I would as is what in the world is a woman who doesn't have $100 doing having a baby. Even assuming that she can get through the delivery with no money, how is she going to be able to raise a kid? My heart stops bleeding when I see such irresponsibility. I feel for her kid, had she produced one, but not for her and I sure don't blame the system. The world doesn't owe you kids.
